Last week, our family traded Pattaya’s bustling coastline for the rugged, dusty trails of the surrounding mountains thanks to an incredible half-day quad tour with Easy Rider Cafe.
Nestled on the scenic shores of Maprachan Lake, just a short drive from the city, the cafe itself is a welcoming starting point. We were greeted promptly by the co-owner, James, and our guide, who ensured we were comfortable with a cold drink before anything else. Their professionalism was immediately apparent as they got us kitted out with all the necessary gear and walked us through a comprehensive safety briefing and quad bike tutorial. It was the perfect mix of Thai hospitality and a strong emphasis on safety, making us all feel confident and ready for the adventure ahead.
Within minutes of firing up the engines, we left the real world behind, plunging into a stunning landscape that feels a world away from Pattaya. Our guide led us on a thrilling journey along a fantastic mix of challenging dirt tracks, winding jungle paths, and open trails that offered breathtaking views of the lakes and valleys below. The experience was perfectly pitched for our family; it was exciting enough to get my teenage son’s full, thrilled approval (no small feat!), yet entirely manageable for my wife and me. Navigating the twists, turns, and occasional splashes through mud puddles together was an absolute blast and a fantastic way to bond while experiencing the raw natural beauty of the area.
What truly made the experience stand out was the obvious passion of the Easy Rider team. James and our guide were not only experts but also enthusiastic companions, ensuring we were safe while also making sure we were having the time of our lives. It was more than just a quad bike ride; it was an authentic adventure that provided a unique perspective on Thailand’s natural offerings. We returned dusty, exhilarated, and already planning our next visit. For any family looking to add an action-packed, memorable, and incredibly fun outing to their Pattaya itinerary, we cannot recommend Easy Rider Cafe highly enough.
And the adventure didn’t end on the trails! We returned to the Easy Rider Cafe, where the fun continues. There’s no better way to unwind after all that excitement than by relaxing on their shaded terrace watching the World go by, enjoying a well-earned cold beer and some genuinely delicious food.
I can personally recommend their hearty buffalo burger, an absolute triumph, while my son declared their Mac and Cheese some of the best he’s ever had. It’s the perfect spot to re-live the highlights of the ride, share a few laughs, and soak in the laid-back vibe, making the entire experience from start to finish absolutely flawless.
